Job Overview:

We are seeking an Inventory Optimization Specialist to implement and manage Open-to-Buy processes, assess supplier performance, and communicate delays to internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to meet inventory targets and support the PO lifecycle.
  • Analyse supplier data, participate in S&OP meetings, and mitigate risks related to slow-moving or discontinued products.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing transparent updates on potential interruptions.
  • Collaborate to animate the S&OP process by preparing insights for decision making.
  • Identify inventory risks, create reduction plans, and track performance to minimize ageing stock.
  • Ensure data accuracy to support smooth planning and replenishment processes.
  • Monitor and report on stock issues, providing timely updates on potential interruptions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, operations management, logistics, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in retail supply chain management and inventory optimization.
  • Proficiency in demand forecasting and sales data analysis.
  • Skills in supplier negotiations and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Project management experience with a focus on supply chain initiatives.
  • Knowledge of supply chain KPIs and performance improvement strategies.
  • Strategic planning and analytical skills for informed supply chain decisions.
  • Financial acumen for budgeting and cost management within supply chain operations.
  • Adaptability to the dynamic retail environment and technology proficiency.
