Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Research Assistant with our organization. The role involves assisting with research on artefacts and cataloguing them using metadata.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with minor research on artefacts and cataloguing the artefacts by using metadata (training is provided)
  • Writing short physical descriptions of artefacts
  • Assisting with minor research on artefacts and writing short definitions of in-house terms used to describe the said artefacts
  • Assisting with data cleansing and standardising of metadata
  • Assisting with miscellaneous work

Working Arrangements

  • Duration: November 2025 – March 2026
  • Working Hours: Mon – Thursday: 8.30am – 6.00pm, Friday: 8.30am – 5.30pm
  • Work from home by default

Requirements

  • May be required to do a metadata cataloguing test and submit before the interview date
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Interest in history and visual arts
  • Detailed and organised
  • Ability to work independently without much supervision
  • Ability to meet deadlines
