Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the operational work under the NUHS Total Workplace Safety and Health initiative. The incumbent will oversee strategy alignment, institutional collaboration, awareness and communications, secretariat duties, and other related tasks.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Alignment:
    • Develop and implement workplace safety and health policies and procedures for NUHS cluster.
    • Manage operational dashboard for entire NUHS cluster.
    • Represent NUHS as a member of the Community of Practice for Healthcare WSHOs under the WSH Council.
  • Institutional Level Collaboration:
    • Support and guide NUHS institutions' efforts in achieving bizSAFE Level 3 certification or ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
    • Act as a liaison between various NUHS institutions to ensure consistent implementation of NUHS policies and standards.
    • Organize and facilitate inter-institutional meetings and workshops to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across all NUHS institutions.
    • Attend RHSO and/or any other institutions' WSH Committee meetings as Advisor.
  • Awareness and Communications:
    • Develop a communications strategy and plan to educate NUHS staff on WSH practices.
    • Create and distribute regular safety communications and updates to all relevant stakeholders across the NUHS cluster.
  • NUHS Total Workplace Safety & Health Secretariat Role:
    • Perform secretariat duties for NUHS TWSH Oversight Committee.
    • Work with NUHS TWSH Community of Practice members to consolidate WSH information.
  • Budgeting:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a budget that aligns with project objectives.
  • Other Related Tasks:
    • Any other duties or tasks assigned by the Reporting Officer.
