Operations Manager Role Overview

As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of logistics processes for cargo shipments. This encompasses contract management, vessel and cargo coordination, and handling insurance or claims issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contract Execution
  • Manage Letters of Credit to ensure alignment with contract terms, handle invoicing matters, and oversee financial securities.
  • Vessel Coordination
  • Nominate vessels, issue operational instructions, appoint inspectors, and manage related invoicing and storage arrangements.
  • Cargo Clearance
  • Coordinate vessel clearance with terminals, review shipping documentation, issue voyage instructions, and process freight invoices.
  • Claims Management
  • Handle issues as they arise, advise the Insurance Department, and coordinate the necessary documentation for claims processing.
  • Deal Input
  • Ensure accurate and timely input of deal details into internal systems for proper coordination and reporting.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in oil trading operations.
  • Strong understanding of the international oil trading environment.
  • Knowledge of operational and financial procedures.
  • Excellent multitasking and priority management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
