Job Overview

Our client is a well-established construction and property development solutions provider seeking a highly qualified and experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Officer to be part of their team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSE management, with experience in managing safety on construction sites and LTA building projects. The role involves ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environment practices on construction sites, developing and implementing comprehensive HSE policies, procedures and programs, and conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.

The selected candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence all levels of personnel. Additionally, they should be able to conduct thorough investigations and prepare detailed incident reports.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures and programs.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with relevant health, safety and environment regulations and standards.
  • Investigate and report on incidents, accidents and near-misses.
  • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on HSE best practices.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.

Requirements
  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
  • Possess a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in managing safety on construction sites and LTA building projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards and best practices in the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
