Job Title: HSE Professional - Project Lead

 

HSE Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will lead the implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures, guidelines, standards and policies in line with project requirements.

They will also be responsible for leading the development of annual HSE objectives and performance targets, as well as monitoring the implementation of HSE legal requirements, national laws/regulations, international conventions and protocols within the project.

Additionally, they will represent the project team in HSE matters with corporate and end-user's HSE and Ministry of Environment & Climate Change (MoECC).

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an internationally recognized University. A Master's degree is preferable.

They should also be a member of a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/institution and have at least 15 years' experience in HSE functions, with exposure to EPC for major oil & gas projects.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in similar HSE senior position in projects for reputable oil & gas operators in an offshore project environment is required.

The successful candidate will also have relevant skills in HSE studies, environmental assessments, and project HSE risk registers.

Experience in accident/incident investigation, review and learning from HSE incidents is also necessary.

A strong leadership skillset to motivate and organize HSE and contractor HSE teams to achieve high-performance level is essential.

Proficient in the use of the English language (both written & spoken) is required.

Work experience in the Arabian Gulf Countries is desirable.

Experience of coordinating with large contractor teams and being a HSE lead in a project management team are also essential.
