To lead, set & manage a variety of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) activities for all yards and project locations.
- To ensure compliance with internal and/or external and MOM’s HSE regulations and standards.
- To develop and implement HSE strategies and measurable KPIs for all yards in accordance to statutory regulations.
- To achieve and manage all HSE related standards in the group of companies such as Occupational Safety and Health Management System (ISO 45001), bizSAFE star certification etc.
- To introduce in-house safety rules and ensure that housekeeping and safety rules are in compliance to standards set.
- To monitor and evaluate the organization’s overall HSE performance to identify and minimize recurring incidents.
- To conduct daily HSE inspections at all yards especially HQ’s flagship location.
- To inspect sites to ensure that all equipment and facilities comply with WSH standards and do not pose any potential hazards.
- To highlight, recommend and address all WSH irregularities.
- To assist in operations matters as and when required.
- To ensure that all equipment and facilities comply with HSE standards and do not pose any potential hazards.
- To provide leadership and guidance in HSE aspect to the project and internal operations.
- To investigate and identify root cause of incidents / accidents with detailed incident reporting (within 3 working days), report to all stakeholders, recommend corrective actions, follow up until closure and incorporate practice into existing Safe Work Procedure (SWP) / Safety Management System.
- To review risk assessment and SWP mínimally bi-annually / periodically.
- To conduct safety training for all operations activities and ensure HSE representatives are well trained and well-equipped with HSE standards.
- To document WSH records and matters including review, implement and management of the Workplace's Safety Management System.
- To oversee the issuance of PPE to workers.
- To report monthly HSE safety statistics reports to all stakeholders. (e.g., incident accident summary report, training conducted, etc.)
- To be the appointed FSM and carry out the roles per SCDF’s requirements.
- To improve the safety culture through regular safety campaigns, posters etc.
- To perform the duties of a WSHO as stated under the WSH Act.
- Any other duties assigned.
Requirement:
- Degree in HSE or other relevant disciplines.
- 3 -5 years experience in relevant field (Construction / shipyard) with min. 3 years of manager experience.
- Registered with MOM as WSHO.
- Fire Safety Manager
- Familiar with ISO45001 / Shipyard environment.
- Proven strong time management, leadership, qualities and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to communicate, present and influence internal & external stakeholders.
- Location: Jurong
