Teaching Position: Relief Teacher

The school is seeking a versatile and skilled educator to fill the role of Relief Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cover teaching duties for various subjects in accordance with school policies and schemes of work.
  • Monitor, record, assess and report on student progress as per school guidelines.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback on student work while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly learning environment by adhering to the school's behaviour policy.
  • Engage with students during lunchtime and monitor their behaviour.
  • Collaborate with senior staff members to address any concerns related to student welfare.
  • Ensure the classroom is well-organised and conducive to effective learning.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to school protocols.
  • Be responsible for the care and maintenance of educational resources and equipment.
  • Set an excellent example in terms of personal conduct and professional integrity.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in cover/relief teaching in an independent school setting catering to children aged 18 months to 13 years old.
  • Possess relevant Teaching Certification recognised internationally (e.g. QTS, PGCE).
  • Demonstrate adaptability, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for teaching diverse age groups.
