Job Title: Storage Engineer

  • Key responsibilities include analyzing storage log information to provide actionable insights, conducting thorough reviews of provisioning configurations to identify areas for optimization and improvement.

  • Perform in-depth testing and verification of configuration changes, new patches, or software releases to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

    ">

  • Contribute to the change management process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, approve, and implement authorized change requests.

    ">

  • Generate comprehensive operational reports using customer-supplied tools, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

    ">

  • Assist with measuring and planning storage capacity, including forecasting future needs.

    ">

  • Address vulnerabilities on Huawei's storage hardware and software products, ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.

    ">

  • Develop strategic plans for future initiatives and offer expert recommendations to customers on areas for improvement.

    ">

  • Educate customers on maximizing benefits from product features and functionality, increasing understanding and adoption.

    ">

  • Provide hands-on training to customer staff on efficient methods for utilizing solution capabilities.

    ">

  • Facilitate regular review meetings with customers to discuss engagement status, address issues, and assess overall satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in IT storage environments.

    ">

  • Familiarity with storage environments, hands-on configuration, and data migration.

    ">

  • Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions, as well as data migration solutions.

    ">

  • Daily monitoring and issue support experience.

    ">

  • Basic OS concepts in Windows/Linux/Unix Systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Solaris, AIX).

    ">

  • Excellent English communication skills and strong customer focus.
