Job Title: Senior Data Center Field Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a part-time Senior Data Center Field Technician. This role requires extensive experience in hardware, software, and networking systems, with a strong focus on delivering hands-on technical support in data center environments.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and inventory controlling complex IT infrastructure. Strong communication skills and excellent customer service skills are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for data center hardware and infrastructure.
  • Perform core data center operations, including rack and stacking servers and appliances, setting up cabling and connectivity, deploying and decommissioning hardware, managing inventory, and troubleshooting offline or downed servers.
  • Support network operations and assist in incident response for L1 and L2 issues.
  • Execute hardware/software installations and break/fix tasks.
  • Escalate complex issues and contribute to resolution planning.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through clear communication and timely service.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a data center or technical support role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with server, storage, and networking hardware.
  • Proficient in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Capable of producing clear technical documentation and reports.
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Familiarity with data center safety and operational standards.
