About the Role

As a Senior Cloud Network Engineer at Tencent Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's network infrastructure. This position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless cloud network operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and maintain Tencent Cloud's network, gateway, VPC, and load balancing platforms, continuously improving operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve complex network issues, developing methodologies to enhance team capabilities and increase network reliability.
  • Utilize technical solutions and process improvements to elevate platform network availability.
  • Identify and propose optimization solutions for inefficient business areas, driving the implementation of enhancements.
  • Design and implement automated network operations, collaborating with other teams to develop and deploy automation tools.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Computing or related majors, along with at least 5 years of relevant cloud networking experience. Proficiency in TCP/IP protocol, understanding of SDN technologies, and expertise in troubleshooting network issues in Linux virtualization environments are also essential. Additionally, you should have in-depth knowledge of mainstream network devices and protocols, including STP, OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, MPLS VPN, with experience in large-scale network planning and operations.

The ideal candidate should also have familiarity with virtualization technologies (KVM, Xen, Hyper-V, LXC) and practical troubleshooting experience, as well as strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems. Expertise in load balancing technologies, programming languages (Shell, Python, Go), and commands like awk, sed, grep, strace, tcpdump, gdb are highly desirable. Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese Mandarin is required to liaise with China-based stakeholders and manage internal and external tools and documentations.

Tencent offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience.
