The role of an Architectural Coordinator is a pivotal position in ensuring the smooth execution of architectural projects.
Responsibilities- Regular site inspections are conducted to monitor work progress, identify potential issues, and guarantee compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- The coordinator manages and rectifies defects or issues discovered during the construction process, maintaining high-quality standards.
- This individual assists in developing project schedules, timelines, and budgets, ensuring architectural activities align with the overall project plan.
- Architectural work scheduling is managed, supervised, and inspected according to specifications/drawings performed by sub-contractors.
- Project specifications, tender clarifications, and construction drawings are reviewed to support contract and procurement management.
- Coordination with the Project Manager involves civil, structural, and architectural aspects.
- Drawings are studied, and architectural works are coordinated with consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical/site issues.
- The Project Director/Project Manager is informed about any technical/site problems related to architectural works.
- A minimum Diploma in Architecture/Building or equivalent qualification is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of architecture coordination experience in building/construction trade or equivalent is necessary.
