The Senior Fitness Program Coordinator will oversee the implementation and management of strength training programs for seniors aged 60 and above. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in exercise science, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor fitness plans to meet the unique needs of senior participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise Supervision & Support
    • Conduct participant onboarding, including assessments and equipment orientation.
    • Guide seniors through customized strength training programs, ensuring proper technique and safety.
    • Monitor sessions to prevent injuries and address any concerns.
  • Safety & Equipment Oversight
    • Maintain a safe and welcoming gym environment for senior participants.
    • Perform daily checks and report maintenance issues related to equipment.
  • Senior Engagement & Motivation
    • Encourage senior participation through outreach and one-on-one engagement.
    • Address concerns or hesitations, building rapport and confidence with participants.
  • Progress Monitoring & Documentation
    • Regularly update participant profiles and adjust programs based on progress.
    • Submit reports to the program manager on participant outcomes and program effectiveness.
  • Collaboration & Program Development
    • Work with the program team to integrate senior wellness initiatives and develop new programs.
    • Provide feedback to enhance program effectiveness based on observations and participant feedback.
