
Public Service Workforce Development Specialist

Our team is responsible for driving a trusted public service. Key roles include:
- Developing a diverse workforce by supporting public officers' growth and creating meaningful careers
- Developing leaders who are united, resilient, and anchored in public service values and ethos
- Building future-ready public sector organisations by steering transformation and catalysing innovations for effective work
- Driving good governance, values, and excellence to safeguard the integrity and reputation of the public service and uphold citizens' trust
Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will develop and implement workforce development policies and strategies to help public agencies transform their workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing policy papers and strategic frameworks for workforce development initiatives across the public service
- Managing relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs and workforce challenges, developing targeted solutions and strategies
- Supporting agencies in strategic workforce planning by identifying workforce needs, assessing operating landscapes, and translating into concrete implementation plans
- Leading cross-agency workforce development projects and partnerships, coordinating with external stakeholders to deliver training programmes and career development initiatives
Competencies include working effectively with citizens and stakeholders, analytics, and clear thinking.
Required Skills and QualificationsSelf-motivated individuals who value integrity, teamwork, and excellent service delivery should apply. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently are essential.
