Job Title: Wine Connoisseur Team Member

The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for wine and a willingness to learn and grow in the role. As a Sommelier Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Sommelier in managing the wine list and cellar inventory.

This includes recommending and serving wines to guests, ensuring a high standard of service and product knowledge. You will support wine pairing for menus and special events, maintain cleanliness and organization of wine storage areas, assist in receiving, stocking, and rotating wine inventory.

Additionally, you will educate guests and staff on wine offerings and pairings, participate in wine tastings, training sessions, and supplier meetings, ensure compliance with licensing laws and health & safety regulations, and handle guest inquiries and feedback professionally and knowledgeably.

Requirements:
  • 5 years working experience in food & beverage service, preferably with exposure to wine service.
  • Basic knowledge of wine types, regions, and service techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for wine and willingness to learn and grow in the role.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Certification in wine studies (e.g., WSET Level 1 or 2) is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
