The National Institute of Education (NIE) is committed to excellence in teacher education and research. We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to join our Asian Languages & Cultures (ALC) Department.
Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support to the Head/ALC and department staff.
- Overseeing financial matters, including annual budget submission, half-yearly financial reporting, and monthly vetting of Vote Control Register.
- Managing examination-related tasks, such as submission of question papers, marks, and appeal for marks review.
- Collating information required by other admin departments.
- Serving as the department's PDPA Champion.
- Supporting key events, such as the Teachers' Investiture Ceremony (TIC) and/or NTU Convocation.
- Identifying and implementing enhancements to streamline work processes in the department.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A University degree, preferably in Business Studies.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with some supervisory experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
