Job Title

Mainframe Developers are sought after for our organization to take on various tasks including code maintenance, system troubleshooting, and project management.

  • Key responsibilities include coding, modifying, testing, correcting, and documenting new and existing programs using assigned languages, tools, and coding conventions.
  • Candidates must be able to analyze program specifications to produce all testing conditions and produce test data based on identified test conditions.
  • The successful candidate will prepare JCLs to load DB2 tables or define VSAM files with extracted test data for performing various tests such as stress tests, regression tests, performance tests etc.
  • Maintaining program and system documentation is also a crucial task in this role.
  • Candidates must be able to assist in establishing file structures and processing logic requirements.
  • Deliverables must be produced according to group standards and procedures.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting project leaders in the study and design of application systems and work coordination, project management, and user training.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting end-users in the implementation and maintenance of application systems is also required.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for training other contract programmers in relevant skills and participating in disaster recovery activities.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Mainframe Development is required.
  • Degree or Diploma holders are preferred.
