Pouch Cell Preparation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer with expertise in solid-state battery technology to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and assembling pouch cells, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for next-generation energy storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pouch Cell Design and Development: Lead the design and optimization of pouch cells tailored for solid-state battery applications, focusing on performance, safety, and manufacturability.
  • Material Preparation: Oversee the preparation of battery materials, including solid electrolytes and electrode components, utilizing advanced synthesis techniques to achieve desired electrochemical properties.
  • Cell Assembly: Manage the assembly process of solid-state battery cells, identifying areas for improvement to enhance assembly quality and efficiency for both small and large-format cells.
  • Electrochemical Testing: Conduct comprehensive electrochemical evaluations of assembled cells, analyzing performance metrics and failure mechanisms to inform design improvements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results, preparing technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Diploma or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: About 2 years of industrial experience in all-solid-state cell design, including testing, data analysis, and failure mechanism analysis. Experience with pouch or prismatic cell formats is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in solid-state synthesis techniques, material characterization methods, and electrode/cell fabrication processes. Familiarity with electrochemical testing and analysis is required.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Team Orientation: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, contributing to collective problem-solving efforts.
