Advertising Copy Strategist

Position Overview

The Advertising Copy Strategist plays a crucial role in conceptualizing and crafting compelling advertising and promotional content. This position involves collaborating closely with creative teams and client service departments to ensure that all copy aligns with the client's marketing strategies and objectives, all while adhering to deadlines. Additionally, this role includes mentoring junior creatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in strategic discussions with clients and internal teams to develop impactful advertising campaigns that meet client goals.
  • Analyze target audiences and tailor content accordingly.
  • Generate innovative ideas that align with the client's marketing vision and challenge conventional approaches.
  • Defend the merits of existing concepts while remaining receptive to feedback and new ideas.
  • Anticipate and address creative challenges proactively.
  • Oversee the copy development process, ensuring all messages are both strategically sound and medically accurate.
  • Present creative concepts and work in a professional manner during client meetings.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, consistently meeting client expectations.
  • Supervise junior creatives, providing guidance and support as necessary.
  • Understand the relationship between budgets, schedules, and overall business performance.
  • Verify all claims and facts with relevant scientific and regulatory teams.
  • Collaborate with the client service team to gather necessary information for timely project execution.
  • Pursue cross-disciplinary learning opportunities to enhance product quality within deadlines.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and share insights with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in navigating product challenges within the market.
  • Proficient in word processing software.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing or advertising is preferred.
  • Familiarity with South East Asia and South Asia markets at both regional and local levels.
  • Previous experience with healthcare clients is advantageous.
  • Enthusiasm for integrating AI technologies into creative processes.
