VP, Regional Credit Policy Analyst, Group Credit

The Regional Credit Policy Manager will be responsible for providing independent oversight of Personal Financial Services (PFS) Loans Portfolio for UOB Group. This includes reviewing and maintaining the Group Retail Credit Policy and Process Standards (GRCPPS), ensuring regional countries are operating within the Group PFS Policy, Frameworks and approved Retail Risk Appetite (RRA) metrics, and providing independent review and recommendation on proposed credit policies changes and related credit papers requiring approval from Group Retail Credit. The role also involves performing independent monitoring of portfolio quality for PFS loans portfolio across countries and undertaking strategic projects as part of overall Group Retail Credit and Group Credit Policy & Governance collective agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and maintain the Group Retail Credit Policy and Process Standards (GRCPPS) to ensure PFS Loans portfolios operate within the desired appetite.
- Support the smooth migration of Citi portfolio into UOB under Credit Policy & Governance sub-stream, liaise and work with other sub-streams within overall Retail Credit workstream and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful integration process.
- Work closely with countries Credit Policy & Governance function on review of Portfolio Review Document (PRD), credit policy changes, credit test proposal, and other initiatives that require approval from Group Retail Credit.
- Assume the advisory role to and consult regional countries on Group Policy & Framework related matters.
- Responsible for tracking of consolidated Retail Risk Appetite, Risk Discipline Framework (RDF) metrics and Credit KPIs across regional countries.
- Perform monitoring of regional countries portfolio and highlight the key and emerging risks to ensure that sound portfolio quality is maintained.
- Support the portfolio review reporting and preparation for Quarterly Credit Review of Retail Portfolio with Senior Management and Group Credit Committee.
- Work closely with Credit Policy & Governance team in enhancing the independent risk assurance process.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as part of Group Credit Policy & Governance Collective Agenda.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of working experience in a retail credit risk management role preferably in a credit risk policy, MIS and portfolio management capacity. Candidates with experiences in risk assurance area are welcome to apply.
- Degree holder with background in Mathematics, Statistics, Business and Finance preferred.
- Analytical mind with sound business acumen, highly meticulous and self-motivated.
- A strong relator with good communication and presentation skill (verbal and written).
- Experience in a Group regional role with knowledge of country business and regulatory landscape will be a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint. Good knowledge of SAS Programming, Decision Tree Segmentation Tool, SQL database and Visualization Tool (e.g. PowerBI) is desired.
- Candidates with knowledge in Basel Capital Rules, Credit Scorecards (especially application scorecard development) or IFRS9 will have an added advantage.
