**Job Description:**

The Assistant Director, Payroll Services is a vital member of the middle management team and leads a group of specialists to deliver payroll and claims shared services to government agencies.

They are responsible for executing policy-ops-tech integration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of daily operations, high standards of performance, and operational readiness at all times.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Oversee payroll and claims shared services teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
  • Drive forward-thinking initiatives to accomplish operational objectives, including manpower planning, team restructuring, business process re-engineering, and technological advances.
  • Analyse and critically evaluate the effectiveness of existing operations and initiatives using analytics and workforce management tools.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Good knowledge of HR and payroll (SAP) and its ecosystem and landscape, including industry trends locally and internationally.
  • Advanced knowledge of emerging digital and automation technologies and data analytics, and their application in the HR and payroll function.
  • Good collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as logical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a team of payroll specialists.
