Senior Project Cost Manager

The role involves overseeing pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties for MEP Works including cost estimation, procurement and tendering, tender evaluation, cash flow forecasting, contract administration, variation management, final account settlement, etc. The senior project cost manager will be responsible for leading the team in managing the MEP Works taking off from drawings and pricing for cost estimates, tender documents, etc.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and coach junior staff in delivery of services, including checking on the works done by junior staff
- Cultivate effective relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally
- Attend meetings and site inspections when required
- Ensure adherence to Company's QA requirements and best practices
- Evaluate client requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Collaborate onsite and with consultants' meetings and liaise with clients, architects, and associate consultants in project administration
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to calculate project costs
- Develop contracts and nominated sub-contracts for tender and contract formalization
- Metrically measure and take off quantities for architectural and structural work elements
- Administer pre and post-contract consultancy work
- Assess variation orders, prepare interim valuations, cost plans, and budget studies
- Value completed work and arrange payments
- Offer expert advice on contractual claims
