About the Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Food & Beverage Operation team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various projects, develop their skills, and gain valuable experience in the hospitality industry.

Job Description

The intern will be responsible for creating Continent Standards decks on F&B Discipline-related subject matters, conducting online research on the latest trends, consolidating operational data, and contributing to F&B-related projects targeting millennial consumers. They will also develop standard templates, liaise with properties, possess a flair for F&B, project-oriented mindset, and travel to support hotels opening and conferences.

  • Maintain a professional relationship with representatives in the Marriott Regional Office, business partners, and other organizations.
  • Attend training sessions and meetings when required.
  • Able to travel and attend business trips.
  • Carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities assigned.
Learning Objectives

The main objective of this internship is to provide students with the experience of creating, developing, and rolling out a corporate strategy. The student will develop communication to engage hotels as well as negotiation skills when working with vendors. The internship experience will provide the opportunity to unleash creativity, identify new trends, concept, and design to elevate our Food & Beverage reputation.

Requirements

We are looking for university students who are passionate, committed, and keen to establish a career in the Food & Beverage discipline. The ideal candidate should have:

  • Ability to learn quickly and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detailed-oriented, structured, and organized.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
