Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests, from end-to-end genetic testing processes. They will operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct NGS library preparation, sequencing, and validate assays.
  • Analyze and interpret laboratory data, generate reports, and communicate findings to the laboratory team and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to ensure timely delivery of test results and effective communication of critical findings.
Required Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, Life Science, or a related field.
  • Experience and proficiency in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and equipment used in molecular biology and genetics.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols and SOPs accurately.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in an NGS laboratory or clinical molecular testing lab is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical lab experience required (CAP-accredited or MOH-licensed lab)

Experience working with liquid handler platforms, ability to work independently, or mentor junior staff is desired.

Job title will be commensurate with experience.
