Job Summary:

A Medical Laboratory Scientist position is available in a clinical laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various laboratory tests and procedures on clinical specimens to determine the presence or absence of specific diseases or conditions.
  • Examine test results, identify potential issues, and report findings to laboratory management.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and data, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Operate complex laboratory equipment and computer programs related to equipment and LIS systems.
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure quality control and assurance standards are met.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of clinical laboratory experience in molecular genetics, biochemical genetics, or cytogenetics.
  • Strong analytical thinking, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of molecular diagnostics techniques, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and patient safety guidelines.
