Job Title: Intellectual Property Protection Specialist

About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Intellectual Property Protection Specialist. As a key member of our Registry, you will play a crucial role in protecting intellectual assets and promoting business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine trade mark applications to ensure they meet legal requirements.
  • Conduct thorough searches for conflicting trade marks.
  • Review descriptions of goods/services against international standards.

You will be responsible for communicating effectively with applicants or their representatives on the outcome of the examination, including raising objections and considering responses where necessary. You may also provide assistance to members of the public who have queries on trade mark-related matters.

What We Are Looking For

We seek individuals with a university degree from any background and excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should demonstrate sound research, analytical, comprehension, and decision-making skills, and be detailed and customer-oriented. Having some understanding of how businesses brand, market, and identify themselves is also desirable.
