**Job Summary**:
As our Intellectual Property (IP) Manager, you will be part of the IP Department responsible for executing MiRXES’ IP protection strategy to help build a strong intellectual property portfolio. You will manage the filing and prosecution of patents to protect MiRXES’ proprietary technologies as well as to perform IP analytics studies. You will be working closely with colleagues from the R&D, legal and commercial teams to draft and negotiate IP-related agreements as well as to formulate strategies and policies to establish best practices for intellectual property protection.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Manage and expand MiRXES’ intellectual property portfolio including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets
- Work with R&D team to review invention disclosures and assess patentability of new inventions
- Conduct high-quality patent search and analysis projects to inform on R&D, commercialization and IP protection strategies
- Review of IP-related contracts to ensure MiRXES’ interest are protected
- Monitor and advise on changes to laws or regulations that may affect protection of MiRXES’ IP in various jurisdictions
- Formulate and review IP protection policies to ensure compliance with best practices
- Communicate effectively with other staff and team members to solicit invention disclosures and to advise on IP-related matter
- Track and manage prosecution deadlines and IP expenditure budget
**Desired Skills and Competencies**
- PhD/MSc./BSc. in related Science background. Postgraduate qualification in related field is preferred.
Self-motivated to work effectively and efficiently
- Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills, including excellent attention to detail
- Able to manage priorities to ensure adherence to deadlines
- Strong technical knowledge in the field of Life Science, preferably with strong background in molecular biology. Understanding of molecular diagnostic product development and commercialization is advantageous
- Collaborative personality and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
