Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations.

  • Process payments accurately, adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including documentation for accounts payable and vessel allocation.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate transaction tracking.
  • Monitor outstanding amounts due from crew and follow up on timely recoveries.
  • Keep master data files updated regularly.
  • Address payment-related inquiries and assist in resolving issues.
  • Support accounts payable projects as needed.
  • Collaborate on annual financial audits and tax compliance processes.
  • Reconcile payables and assist with financial closing activities at month-end and year-end.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP is an advantage.
  • Experience in the shipping or ship management industry is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
