Job Title: Laboratory Operations Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a laboratory, ensuring compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate team activities to ensure efficient utilization of resources and meet work schedules and targets.
  • Prioritize and manage laboratory workflow to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager to classify final products and reworked lots.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot quality issues, implementing corrective actions based on analysis results.
  • Monitor in-process samples and communicate with production teams for preventive and corrective measures.
  • Analyze data to identify recurring problems with product quality or testing procedures and develop solutions.
  • Evaluate staff performance, equipment, and laboratory processes to ensure quality control system effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports on quality metrics.
  • Provide training and guidance to laboratory assistants and shift technicians.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to team members.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a chemical-related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in laboratory testing, preferably in wet chemistry.
  • Able to lead and supervise a team of laboratory assistants.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as GC, AAS, Auto-titrator, NIR, etc.
  • Experience with manual testing procedures.
