Job Opportunity in Southeast Asia Financial Services Sector

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth across Southeast Asia. This newly created role is a strategic hire aimed at building partnerships and driving new business within the trust, insurance, and family governance space.

The successful candidate will thrive in a client-facing environment, have experience in institutional sales, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset. You will be responsible for developing relationships with key intermediaries including private banks, law firms, multi-family offices, and advisory partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow our trust, insurance, and family office solutions across Southeast Asia.
  • Meet defined revenue and client acquisition targets in line with our regional expansion goals.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with intermediaries such as external asset managers, legal and tax advisors, family offices, and immigration consultants.
  • Presentation and promotion of comprehensive suite of solutions tailored to the needs of ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders, including legal, product, and operations to support business acquisition and client onboarding.
  • Representation of the firm at industry events, client briefings, and marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Stay informed on market developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activity relevant to the region.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a degree qualification with 5+ years of experience in institutional sales, business development, or relationship management, preferably within private banking, insurance, or trust services. Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required to effectively build relationships and navigate client conversations.

A confident communicator with strong interpersonal and presentation skills is essential, along with a commercial mindset and the initiative to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Experience working with HNW or UHNW clients and their advisors will be highly regarded.
