Job Title: Care Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of our residents.

  • Assist residents with their daily needs, including bathing, serving meals, and other essential tasks.
  • Maintain good hygiene practices among residents by assisting with regular showering, nail/hair cutting, changing clothes, and bed sheets as per schedule.
  • Facilitate on-site and off-site activities for residents, promoting social interaction and engagement.
  • Collaborate with therapists and psychologists to provide interventions for residents, supporting their mental and emotional well-being.
  • Accompany residents to medical appointments, providing support and assistance as needed.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of residents' living spaces, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in cleaning and maintenance of common areas, upholding high standards of hygiene and organization.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, tracking progress and outcomes.
  • Train and guide residents in daily living skills, empowering them to become more independent.
  • Contribute to data collection of residents' progress, helping us refine our care services.
  • Perform any other duties or projects assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:


  • Hold a minimum of WPLN Level 3 above, GCE O Level/NITEC, preferably in Nursing.
  • Demonstrate supervisory skills, with experience in managing teams and leading initiatives.
  • Have experience working with youths/adults (age 19+) with autism, with a focus on creating supportive and inclusive environments.
  • Familiarity with residential/special needs settings, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, leveraging technology to enhance care delivery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Possess a compassionate and patient personality, understanding the unique needs and challenges of each resident.
  • Willingness to perform shift duties, adapting to changing schedules and requirements.

Working Hours:

This role requires flexible working hours, including shifts and rotational schedules.
