APAC Commodities Business Unit Managers are responsible for facilitating strategic initiatives within the Commodities business, ensuring a robust control environment is maintained. This role requires familiarity with Commodities products/business and the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks by working with stakeholders across Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology, and Compliance. The candidate will report to the APAC Commodities Business Unit Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • This role covers the Commodities business across client jurisdictions in 14 different APAC countries. It involves day-to-day queries, investigations, and ongoing projects impacting the business, such as overseeing sales production & trading issues and identifying risk & control gaps.">
  • The candidate will interact with almost all functional areas dealing with the sales & trading desks, including other sales & trading desks within the firm.">
  • They should be able to assess risk when business decisions are made and demonstrate consideration for the firm's reputation, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.">
  • The role of a business manager is varied and unpredictable, requiring problem-solving skills and knowledge of operational processes to diagnose and resolve items in a fast-paced environment.">
  • The candidate should be able to juggle multiple competing deadlines, meet daily requirements, and progress longer-term deliveries within stated timelines.">
  • Business managers are the hub of communication, tying various parts of the organization together to solve problems.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • At least 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.">
  • 2-3 years of experience in the Asian Commodities space.">
  • Experience managing complex projects and processes.">
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments.">
  • An understanding of Commodity Exchanges in China and Singapore is preferred but not required.">
