Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Programme Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality programmes that support children-at-risk in their education, social, mental and emotional wellbeing.

You will work closely with the Programme Head to develop curriculum and content that is evidence-informed and based on social work theories. This will involve supporting the design and curation of events and holiday initiatives that promote children's mental and emotional wellbeing.

Additionally, you will stay updated on emerging challenges and trends as well as community needs to ensure our programme remains relevant and impactful for the children and families-at-risk.

As a Programme Coordinator, you will also supervise activities such as onsite sessions and facilitate small group discussions during sessions. You will support staff in attending to children with child-centric approaches through the programme sessions.

Maintaining order during sessions and events is also an essential part of this role. Furthermore, you will support staff in running programme-related events or initiatives and ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during programme/sessions.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and deliver high-quality programmes that support children-at-risk in their education, social, mental and emotional wellbeing.
  2. Support the Programme Head in developing curriculum and content that is evidence-informed and based on social work theories.
  3. Stay updated on emerging challenges and trends as well as community needs to ensure our programme remains relevant and impactful.
  4. Supervise activities such as onsite sessions and facilitate small group discussions during sessions.
  5. Support staff in attending to children with child-centric approaches through the programme sessions.
  6. Maintain order during sessions and events.
  7. Support staff in running programme-related events or initiatives.
  8. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during programme/sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma in Social Work/related field.
  • At least 1 year experience in running programmes for children and families.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to work in a team and multi-task effectively.
  • A passion for working with children and families-at-risk.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Experience in using Canva/Design tools.
