Job Description:
- We're looking for a seasoned professional with a strong track record in managing kitchen teams and maintaining high standards of quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring all culinary operations meet our exceptional standards from preparation to plating.
- Kitchen Team Management: Lead and guide the kitchen team, including commis chefs and demi chefs, to maintain quality, efficiency, and organization throughout service.
- Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure each dish meets our exceptional quality and presentation standards, delivering exquisite plates that exceed guest expectations.
- Menu Development: Contribute to the creation and refinement of seasonal menus, specials, and tasting menus by providing input on new ideas and ensuring they align with our culinary vision.
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Oversee food preparation and cooking within your section, executing dishes with precision and consistency in line with our culinary vision.
- Service Consistency: During service, ensure dishes are consistent in quality, texture, and presentation, guaranteeing every guest receives a flawless dining experience.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, ensuring fresh ingredients are stored correctly and used efficiently to prevent waste while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Hygiene and Food Safety: Maintain the highest hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring cleanliness in the kitchen, proper food storage, and adherence to health regulations at all times.
- Jr. Staff Training and Mentoring: Support the development of junior chefs, teaching techniques, standards, and maintaining our culture of excellence while encouraging professional growth.
- Cost Control and Waste Management: Monitor portion sizes, ingredient usage, and waste to help manage kitchen costs effectively while producing top-quality dishes without excess waste.
- Dietary Requirements: Manage special dietary requests or restrictions, adapting dishes without compromising quality, flavor, or presentation.
- Maintenance of Kitchen Equipment: Oversee the proper use and maintenance of kitchen tools and equipment, ensuring everything is in working order and adhering to safety protocols.
- Leadership during Peak Service: Lead your section during peak service times, ensuring efficient operation, effective communication, and quick resolution of any issues to maintain a seamless guest experience.
