Capital Equipment Specialist

As a Capital Equipment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and testing of complex equipment. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of capital equipment
- Align laser optics and calibrate equipment to ensure precise measurements
- Conduct final testing to guarantee quality standards are met
- Collaborate with vendors to prepare capital equipment for shipment
- Monitor and expedite material delivery to meet production schedules
- Own and manage the entire process of capital equipment build, adhering to company quality and safety requirements
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment promptly
- Ensure timely calibration of tools and monitor their performance
Requirements:
- Higher NITEC or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering
- Technical competence and hands-on experience
- Able to produce high-quality capital equipment and take pride in your work
- Self-motivated and able to work independently after qualification
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with various levels of staff
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and acquire new knowledge
- Strong quality and safety mindset, meticulous in work
- Able to operate basic testing and troubleshooting tools, such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Ability to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends as required
- Flexibility to work night or rotating shifts if necessary
- Prior experience in similar fields is an added advantage
