Senior Manager, Ground Support Equipment Engineer

As a Senior Manager in Ground Support Equipment Engineering, you will be responsible for spearheading market research to identify suitable GSE equipment products and technologies. This includes assessing business needs for aviation specialty equipment and vehicles/ground support equipment fleets.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market studies to identify suitable GSE equipment products and technologies.
- Draft detailed specifications (performance, technical, safety, maintainability), establish evaluation criteria, and facilitate the procurement/tender evaluation process.
- Verify development and design standards to ensure reliability, safety, maintainability, optimized total cost of ownership.
- Oversee factory testing, quality assurance, and acceptance testing.
- Manage the induction of procured equipment into operations, including material/spares package, commissioning, and training.
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement team to drive value capture and cost optimization over the asset life cycle.
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Masters preferred) with 7+ years of senior technical and management experience in large-scale procurement, refurbishment, or maintenance projects involving service providers and in-house teams.
- Relevant experience in aviation ground operations, ground handling, aviation maintenance, land transport, or industrial fleet management.
- Familiarity with technologies like predictive maintenance, automation, and autonomous systems.
- Ability to work on weekends or public holidays when required.
- Possession of a Class 3 driving license is advantageous.
