FICC Trader Position

CITIC CLSA is seeking an experienced FICC Trader to join its global franchise based in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of FICC, the role will work closely with the FICC trading desks based in Hong Kong as well as directly support FICC Sales to promote investment and hedging products across Commodities and Carbon Emission for our Singapore and ASEAN based franchise.

  • The primary FICC Trader responsible for exchange-traded derivative execution in Commodities, Carbon Emission, Rates and FX on the SGX and ICE exchanges and fulfill the affiliate execution flow on the SGX DT.
  • Responsible for working with Operations to define and setup product static for new instruments in CITIC CLSA's systems.
  • Responsible for handling trade issues with the exchanges and internal operational groups for post trade life cycle management.
  • Ensuring trade bookings, risk positions and PnL reporting are correctly captured into the systems to facilitate timely reporting of position limits and where required, end client disclosures to Compliance.
  • Actively monitor initial & intra-day margin requirements and communicate to Hong Kong management for liquidity requirement.
  • Proactively work with external execution brokers and clearing brokers to setup liquidity support.
  • Collaborate with Sales to market commodities related products.
Key Responsibilities1. Exchange-Traded Derivative Execution

Execute exchange-traded derivatives in Commodities, Carbon Emission, Rates and FX on the SGX and ICE exchanges and fulfill affiliate execution flow on the SGX DT.

2. Product Static Setup

Work with Operations to define and setup product static for new instruments in the system.

3. Trade Issues Resolution

Handle trade issues with the exchanges and internal operational groups for post-trade life cycle management.

4. Risk Management

Ensure trade bookings, risk positions and PnL reporting are correctly captured into the system.

5. Margin Monitoring

Actively monitor initial & intra-day margin requirements and communicate to Hong Kong management.

6. Liquidity Support

Proactively work with external execution brokers and clearing brokers to setup liquidity support.

7. Product Marketing

Collaborate with Sales to market commodities related products.

Requirements1. Trading Experience

Must have at least 3 years of trading experience in FICC exchange-derivatives in Commodities, FX or Rates; those with SGX DT experience will be preferred.

2. System Familiarity

Familiarity in using exchange traded execution systems.

3. Market Knowledge

Strong understanding of listed derivatives trading and public trading venue market operations.

4. Attention to Detail

Attention to detail given the trading desk operates in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.

5. Regulatory Compliance

Must meet the qualification required by the MAS and SGX for trading registration.

6. Education

At least an undergraduate degree majored in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Quantitative Science or an equivalent discipline.

7. Language Proficiency

Fluency in English is required as the role requires a thorough understanding of international exchange operating rules for compliance.
