Senior Institutional Sales Specialist

Become part of our dynamic team at BNP Paribas Asset Management as a Senior Institutional Sales Specialist for South East Asia. In this key role, you will work closely with the business development and client management teams to drive new business growth and lend support to overall business activities.
As a Senior Institutional Sales Specialist, your primary focus will be on building our regional institutional business in South East Asia, covering key markets such as pensions, insurance, official institutions, corporates, family offices, and more. You will achieve target objectives while contributing to the business development strategy to generate new sales across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- To collaborate with Regional and Singapore CRM teams to build and maintain relationships with institutional clients, focusing on achieving target objectives and beyond.
- Work closely with the CEO of Singapore and Institutional Client Relationship Team to manage existing client relationships, identify new opportunities, and develop strategic partnerships.
- To contribute to and execute the business development strategy to generate new sales across South East Asia.
- Be closely attuned to market developments, asset management industry trends, competitors, and client segment developments to provide valuable insights to the team.
- Stay updated on investment products and strategies managed within the firm to effectively communicate their value proposition to clients.
- Support the marketing team in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our asset management services.
- Participate actively in client presentations, seminars, and conferences to showcase our expertise and build trust with potential clients.
- Collaborate with team members to prepare client presentation materials and arrange regional roadshows to engage with institutional clients.
- Understand and leverage the firm's leadership position in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) to generate sales leads and differentiate ourselves from competitors.

- Internal: Investment Teams, Regional Sales Teams, Client Management, Marketing, Compliance, Product, RFP, Legal
- External: Chief Investment Officers, Head of Reserves Management, External Fund Management Teams, Consultants
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Aptitude in computing applications: PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of global financial markets, various asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and alternatives.
- Must be collaborative and able to work well in a team as well as independently to attain overall organizational goals.
- Possess leadership qualities required to lead projects.
- Excellent project and time management skills.
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience in an asset management South Asia/South East Asia institutional sales client-facing capacity.
- Previous relationships with institutional clients such as pensions, insurers in the region as well as Singapore statutory board and endowments would be an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Client-focused, dynamic, responsible, entrepreneurial, experienced, and confident in dealing with different levels of seniority.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to travel.
Salary Estimate: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
