Job DescriptionPurpose and Scope

This role assists the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) staff and subcontractors. The primary focus is on ensuring seamless coordination between subcontractors and different trades and disciplines.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the project, focusing on mechanical and electrical works, with assistance from the M&E staff.
  • Attend principal meetings and collaborate with clients, consultants, and external parties as required.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and specialists to review and discuss construction methods and material choices, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with external parties, including clients, representatives, and authorities, generating official correspondence as necessary.
  • Coordinate work carried out by M&E Engineers and Coordinators.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal requirements in performing work duties and ensure that internal and external work parties under their charge follow the same standards.
  • Comply with the HSSEQ Management System, implementing relevant requirements stated within.
  • Participate in the project's HSSE Committee and act as an approving officer for Permit-to-work for mechanical and electrical works.
  • Review risks assessments and safe work procedures related to mechanical and electrical works.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in the construction industry.
  • A proactive attitude is essential.
  • Only Singaporean candidates will be considered due to the sensitive nature of the work.
