Concrete Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Concrete Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for conducting regular in-house testing of concrete raw materials and product performance, adhering to international test standards and specifications.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in technical knowledge and principles, with a degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry.
  • Familiarity with the fundamentals of concrete properties, admixture technologies, and applications is essential, as well as expertise in industry trends and best practices.
  • The successful candidate will also have proficiency in written and spoken English, effective communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently with a positive attitude to deliver within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:

The Concrete Specialist will be responsible for:

  1. Conducting regular in-house testing to monitor concrete raw materials and product performance, adhering to international test standards and specifications;
  2. Assisting in all measures related to product quality control, ensuring consistency and excellence in every aspect of operations;
  3. Liaising with customers to ensure accurate delivery arrangements and achievement of production targets, building strong relationships and trust with clients;
  4. Inspecting equipment and proposing suitable materials and protection methods for large concrete pours, minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency;
  5. Carrying out mockup testing and installing monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality, providing valuable insights and data-driven decisions;
  6. Assessing concrete conditions (e.g. surface, temperature) and advising on proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete, ensuring optimal results and customer satisfaction;
  7. Collecting and reporting real-time data to contractors at site; communicating corrective actions when necessary, resolving issues promptly and effectively;
  8. Investigating and resolving quality issues at batching plants and customer sites, maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, the candidate must have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry;
  • Familiarity with SSEN, ACI, ASTM, and BS/EN standards or specifications for Civil Engineering and concrete;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English;
  • Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills;
  • Able to work independently with a positive attitude to deliver within tight deadlines.
