We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality of our products and services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular in-house testing to monitor concrete raw materials and product performance in accordance with international test standards and specifications.
- Assisting in all measures related to product quality control.
- Liaising with customers to ensure accurate delivery arrangements and achievement of production targets.
- Educating staff and drivers on the importance of good quality control for concrete.
- Conducting site surveys and attending coordination meetings for delivery and concreting arrangement.
- Inspecting equipment and proposing suitable materials and protection methods for large concrete pour.
- Carrying out mockup testing and installing monitoring devices on site to monitor concrete quality.
- Assessing concrete conditions (e.g. surface, temperature) and advising on proper finishing and protection for freshly cast concrete.
- Collecting and reporting real-time data to contractors at site; communicating corrective actions when necessary.
- Investigating and resolving quality issues at batching plants and customer sites.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with strong knowledge of the fundamentals of concrete properties, admixture technologies and applications. Familiarity with SSEN, ACI, ASTM, and BS/EN standards is also required.
A strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently with a positive attitude to deliver within tight deadlines.
