Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress role at our establishment involves delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

  • Serves food and beverages to customers, ensuring prompt delivery and attention to detail.
  • Ensures tables are set with clean linens, utensils, plates, cups, and glasses, reflecting our commitment to cleanliness and quality.
  • Prepares Chinese tea and replenishes condiments such as vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper, enhancing the dining experience for our guests.
  • Clears used dishes and cleans utensils, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and sanitation.
  • Dries plates, bowls, teapots, cups, and cutlery, contributing to a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Bleaches teapots, cups, glasses, and cutlery, adhering to strict cleaning protocols.
  • Cleans lazy susans and removes food particles from tablecloths, showcasing our dedication to presentation and quality.
  • Counts linen before sending it for washing, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Takes turns performing duties of a food checker, showcasing adaptability and teamwork.

With more years of experience, candidates may be considered for positions of higher responsibility, such as Captain or Assistant Captain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Takes orders from customers, recommends specialty dishes, and serves food and beverages, providing an exceptional dining experience.
  • Checks utensils on tables and ensures good condition of chinaware, glassware, and tablecloths, upholding our standards of quality and cleanliness.
  • Replaces used chinaware and tablecloths with clean ones after customers have finished dining, maintaining a spotless environment.
  • Takes over cashier and hostess duties when necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to assist.
  • Answers phone calls during rest time, showcasing excellent communication skills.
  • Performs other tasks delegated by the Restaurant Manager, highlighting a strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with customers and colleagues.
  • Able to converse in simple English and Mandarin, supporting our diverse customer base.
  • Attentive, Customer Oriented, Team Player, Customer Service, and Hospitality skills are essential for success in this role.
