Housekeeping Supervisor Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality in our luxurious suites, ensuring a positive impact on the guest experience through active supervision of room attendants. This involves overseeing the upkeep of suites to maintain an immaculate, luxurious, and welcoming state according to Raffles Singapore standards, with priority attention given to VIP suites.

Responsibilities Include:
1. Maintaining the cleanliness and quality of suites by supervising the upkeep of rooms to meet Raffles Singapore standards.
2. Ensuring the smooth operations of all housekeeping sections by performing tasks in adherence with the code of ethics as issued by Raffles Hotel Singapore.
3. Upholding a flawless impression and perception of Raffles Singapore products, services, and colleagues.
4. Establishing the foundations of housekeeping operations through supervision of the team and proper organisation and delegation of duties.
5. Providing an experience that exceeds residents' expectations by ensuring guests receive experiences detailed in brand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Raffles Singapore local SOP, FORBES standards, and Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards, aiming to achieve targets set by management.
6. Analysing and responding to guest feedback to ensure satisfaction, continuously committed to improving the quality of products, services, and performance of team members.
7. Seeking to personalise the resident's stay whenever possible.
8. Supervising the housekeeping team by leading the housekeeping - rooms team with a Heartist approach, creating an all-encompassing and welcoming working environment for a multi-cultural and diverse group of housekeeping colleagues, focusing on well-being, safety, training, and development needs of colleagues.
9. Planning for adequate shift coverage of the housekeeping - rooms team and personally covering any role or duty in their absence.
10. Overseeing the provision of room supplies, cleaning equipment, linen, and chemicals.

Key Requirements:
1. Certificate or diploma in hospitality or related field.
2. Minimum 2 years in housekeeping position, minimum 1 year as supervisor.
3. Housekeeping/Supervisory experience in luxury hotel/resort.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
1. Technical skills for housekeeping/laundry.
2. Supervisory and leadership skills – collaborative, enabling, and entrepreneurial.
3. Confident and good interpersonal skills to handle all levels of communication to colleagues and guests.
4. Use/knowledge of OPERA and KNOWCROSS.
5. Able to solve problems/make decisions within scope.
6. Attention to details especially on cleanliness and room presentation.
7. Able to work independently, reliable, and self-directed.
8. Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively.
