Luxury Hotel Executive Housekeeper Position

We are seeking an experienced Executive Housekeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping in managing and strategizing the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day housekeeping operation, including room cleaning, public areas, and laundry.
  • Supervise and direct a team of housekeeping staff, assigning tasks and projects as necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of public areas, ensuring they are clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist with interviewing, selecting, and training new staff members.
  • Monitor and record staff performance and productivity.
  • Fulfill daily and weekly rosters, staffing levels, vacation, and holiday schedules based on forecasted occupancy and business needs.
  • Complete performance evaluations for direct reports, recommending promotions, salary increases, and transfers as needed.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience, with at least 5 years in middle management positions.
  • Experience in luxury hotel/resort environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to converse in multiple languages is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
