Job Title:
Nutrition and Food Science Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support our teaching staff in various aspects of kitchen management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of kitchens and kitchen utensils, preparing ingredients and equipment for students' cooking lessons, and conducting stock-taking of all perishable ingredients and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest standards of kitchen hygiene and ensure that all equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Prepare ingredients and equipment for students' cooking lessons, workshops, and other curriculum activities.
  • Conduct regular stock-takes of all perishable ingredients and equipment to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure accountability and safe handling of sharp tools and confirm that electrical equipment is in good working condition.

Requirements
  • No formal education required; however, experience in a school setting is advantageous.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
  • No work on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
