Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) specialist to join our team. As an HVAC specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain washers, dryers, and small appliances
  • Plan, monitor, install, and adjust heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment via energy management systems
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, including chillers, heat exchangers, fans, pumps, electric controls, and safety devices
  • Install mechanical systems, including piping and modifications to existing facilities' cooling systems
  • Utilize blueprints, technical manuals, and record-keeping systems
  • Monitor outside contractors' work for compliance with state and federal codes
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on packaged units, split coil systems, air compressors, pumps, air handlers, condensers, chillers, and heat exchangers
  • Work as a Journeyman-level mechanic with expertise in HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including hands-on experience with industrial systems
  • Install mechanical systems, including piping and modifications to existing facilities' cooling systems

  • Excellent knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
