Job Overview

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Physiotherapist with expertise in providing, developing, and enhancing clinical services.

This role involves overseeing the clinical skills development of therapists, ensuring that all clinical services and practices are safe, evidence-based, and compliant with clinical governance standards and regulations.

The postholder will also manage complex cases requiring advanced expertise and may be assigned to work across various settings including early intervention programmes, special education schools, or adult and community services.

  • Clinical Leadership
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for clients with complex needs.
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior staff to enhance their skills and professional development.
  • Ensure high-quality, safe, and effective care by adhering to relevant professional standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Optimize the use of clinical resources to maximize the impact and reach of services.
  • Collect and analyse data to measure service effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Program Development
  • Design, implement, and evaluate clinical programs and interventions to meet diverse client needs.
  • Develop and review clinical competency frameworks, guidelines, policies, and procedures to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy development and implementation.
  • Service Improvement
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues to develop and implement clinical strategy and service provision.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and analyse clinical outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and audits.
Requirements
  • Recognised Degree/Master in Physiotherapy
  • Registered with Allied Health Professional Services
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience working as a Physiotherapist
  • Strong clinical expertise and ability to mentor junior staff required for Senior Therapist roles; advanced clinical proficiency and track record of driving excellence required for Principal Therapist roles.
