Job Role:

The Taylor-Root group is seeking a skilled professional to join its team in Singapore. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work on complex derivative and structured transactions, with exposure to asset-backed products and commodities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal support for secured hedging arrangements, structured notes, and bespoke derivatives.
  • Advise on product development initiatives and market expansion, including regulatory analysis and documentation strategy.
  • Review and negotiate trading agreements, confirmations, and access arrangements for new trading venues.
  • Track and interpret regulatory developments impacting derivatives and structured products across jurisdictions.
  • Handle a range of legal queries, including service agreements, NDAs, and broker documentation.
  • Collaborate with international legal teams to support cross-border business activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in derivatives and structured finance.
  • Strong grasp of trading documentation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Legal qualification from a major financial jurisdiction.
  • Exposure to commodities markets is advantageous but not essential.
  • Commercially astute with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
