Job Description

The role is primarily centered around assisting the Legal team with managing legal risks that arise from our OTC derivatives business. This entails providing advice directly to the trading desk on matters related to OTC transactions, including queries and disputes.

You will be responsible for drafting and negotiating various trading agreements, reviewing contractual rights in the context of daily operations and stress situations, and evaluating the viability of new product types and structures.

Liaising with external and internal stakeholders, both domestically and internationally, is also a crucial aspect of the position. You will work closely with clients, external counsel, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.

In addition to these core responsibilities, you may be required to assist the Legal department with urgent or ad hoc matters from time to time.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A qualified lawyer with post-qualification experience of 0-2 years, ideally with experience working in-house.
  • A strong understanding of financial markets and products, with derivatives experience being essential.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
