Job Title: Compliance Associate

About Us

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Associate to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve customer onboarding requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) procedures, identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to obtain approval for high-risk customer relationships.
  • Oversee ongoing monitoring of customer accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update the internal blacklist in our AML system, ensuring we have adequate arrangements for customer screening.
  • Participate in system implementation and testing, system enhancements, identification of system gaps, and evaluation of system capabilities/functionalities to enhance control effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Support transaction monitoring and suspicious transaction reporting (STR) teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • A recognized university degree or relevant professional qualifications in financial services or audit.
  • 3-5 years' experience in AML compliance within banking, digital assets, and/or relevant fields.
  • Familiarity with payments and cryptocurrency AML and sanctions programs.
  • Familiarity with Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations related to money laundering/terrorist financing.
  • Interest in digital payment tokens and/or DPT service provider space.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Resilient and able to take criticism well.
  • Adaptable, proactive, independent, and resourceful.
  • Team player.
